Oboklpo is an art and music organization in Bangladesh working to preserve our living heritage — from folk music, puthi and baul to traditional instruments, wood art and heritage furniture.
The songs sung by boatmen, the puthi read aloud in village courtyards, the ektara of the wandering baul, the carved wood of an old family bed — these are the threads of who we are.
Oboklpo works to document, perform, teach and protect these traditions so the next generation can inherit them, not just read about them.
